Fujairah Monodrama Festival

Every two years, Fujairah plays host to a huge theatrical event known as the Fujairah International Monodrama Festival (FIMF). This festival is organized to establish the presence of Solo Performance in Arabic Theatre generally and in the UAE Theatre in particular. FIMF has created brilliant circumstances for the progress and growth of this complicated and beautiful art as well as its dedicated and talented young artists. There are also several activities established alongside the festival including seminars, publications, tours and meetings. Attending the FIMF will definitely be a highlight of your stay, leaving you bewildered at its artistic beauty.

Maktoum Championships

The Maktoum championships were inaugurated in 2008 and are held every year. These championships were named so because they reflect His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi’s passion and enthusiasm for sport. Every year more sports are being introduced to the already vast array played in the tournament. In 2009, 14 sports were played including tug of war, cricket, interactive games, beach football, beach volleyball, motorcycle racing, modified car show, special needs games and women’s basketball. These championships attracted 1154 participants in 2009 as well as approximately 32,000 spectators.

The International Heritage Day

 is a traditional village activity which tells and demonstrates the profession and trade, customs and tradition, and folklores. In commemoration of this important event, the emirates of Fujairah is celebrating this activities every 18th of April every year.

The Exhibition Centre

Fujairah Exhibition Centre is run by the local Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and plays host to multiple events each year. It is a fantastic tool in continuing to promote Fujairah
as a promising commercial hub. Specialized commercial and industrial events consistently draw a large number of people both locally and from other emirates. Exhibitions like the Syrian products fair, Bridal products and Chinese-made products are extremely popular among the local population. Most exhibitions run for two weeks and also include various amusements and cultural shows which have become very popular with families.
